Will it fix the issues with Windows 7? That's really the only problem this game has left, otherwise it's fine. It would also be nice if you could fix the bug where the game stutters during driving.

Launcher should now default to "Normal" priority.

This one should be top priority with windows 7 support a close second because they are the top reasons for not being able to play the game for most people.

Looks like this patch will actually help. Looking good ;)

It's still too late and doesn't include the most needed and most demanded feature; dedicated servers... but I guess it's a start.

Here are the other items still being worked on for the 2nd patch:

•Windows 7 / Vista speed-up issue.
•Launcher should now default to "Normal" priority.

I really hope the second patch will fix these issues, as once that's sorted, the game will be playable for many of us.

Also, can you please provide a manual link once the patch has been released, as many of us have problems with GFWL.

And thanks for the update, I may be able to finally play this game!

Ohhhh!!! I will be able to play this game at some point! I just can't wait and if you guys ends up getting it to work, I'd be really really happy.

Thank you V-Singular for the update! Been trying to play the game on Win 7 for a while now using the fix provided by vortex2050.

here: http://community.redfaction.com/forums/topic/7712

But it isn't perfect, better than playing without his fix though. As long as the Win 7 "speed" issue ends up fixed by the 2nd patch,
I'll be happy :)

Thanks again for the update!

Awesome news about the 2nd patch! I'm ecstatic that RF:G PC is getting the support it really deserves. Big ups to Volition and Reactor Zero for not just abandoning it.

Stoked to hear the Win7 issues are being looked into. Especially pleased about the Fine Aim being fixed, priority fix, v-sync and weapons sticking.

Looks like RF:G is heading for perfection :-D

remove gfwl save game dependency!!! :)

nah it ain't gonna happen

however how about making the 3rd dlc content available, or is it already in game and it just doesn't show up properly unless you use a mod? (if that is the case than make it available without the mod).
Anyway something like that, don't quite remember as i haven't bought the game yet and what i am writing is based on what i read on the modding forum some months ago so i could be talking nonsense right now! But you get the idea.

ps. if there are any other things found only in the console versions -like maps, golden hammer etc- add them too.

how about improvment in peformance, to solve all the lag time problems, i tried red faction at uni and it still had lag, and it was a 64 bit system with i7 processors, so you know i think it not so much the systems problem :(

if you guys did improve it even by a bit, i will be forever grateful, its pritty sad that this and saints row 2 are the first games that you guys have made that have problems, mainly with saints row 2 its the same speed error only (and if you guys could make a quickl patch for that i would love you), but considering punisher and red faction 1 and 2 worked on pcs below system requirements... FLAWLESSLY, it was pritty amazing, so i know you guys do some awesome work when you get the chance, so thanks for it :)

Just so everyone is aware, fixing the speed-up issue is the number one thing myself and others felt needed to be accomplished with this patch. We've been working very closely with RZ for a while now to get this patched and working for everyone. I also want to point out that vortex's solution above was helpful for RZ moving towards a fix, but it was later found out that the issue is actually related to a larger combination of issues, all of which go much deeper than initially anticipated.

I hope to have more news for everyone regarding the patch by the end of the week.
