Can Shuttle PC's shoot lasers? According to this image, they can. If my PC can provide amazing gaming performance AND kill EDF soldiers trying to sneak up behind me while at my desk, I'm sold.
For those of you that don't know about Shuttle, they're the leading designer and manufacturer of small form factor computers and accessories. Broken down, that means a small amount of space (1/3rd the size of standard PC), but packed with a ton of power. Enough power that if you purchase a qualifying Shuttle XPC, you'll get a copy of RFG PC for free so you can start gaming right away.
Not only can you get RFG PC for free, but on the promo website, you can download a free RFG MyKover skin specifically sized to fit your Shuttle PC, which you can see examples of below.
I leave you with this question: Will the Shuttle XPC shoot itself with a laser if you put the EDF skin on it? I think I'll have to buy one just to find out.
Disclaimer: Shuttle PC's do not actually shoot lasers. I really wish they did though...

Update: These items are now available on the XBL Marketplace.
A few months ago, we asked our community what they wanted when it came to RFG-themed Avatar clothing. We took your ideas and went to the drawing board to create items that worked well within the world of the Avatars, the results of which you can see below.
Along with Mason's outfit and the Marauder suit, here is a preview of the three individual shirts and another preview of the two hats and Marauder helmet (The Marauder helmet can be purchased separately from the armor).
All of the Avatar items are set to be released on Thursday, February 4th via Xbox LIVE at which time pricing will be available as well. To our fans on the PlayStation Network, we'll have some items for use in PlayStation Home as well, just at a later date. I'll post up pictures and the release date for those once it's finalized and ready to go.

Yes, we're more than a month past the holidays. Normally, I wouldn't post up holiday-related news, but this was too awesome to ignore. Sean Kennedy, Associate Producer for RFG, decided to build a gingerbread house. All was going well until...
...I'll just let the pictures tell the entire story. Let's say that the Heavy Mining Walker was getting a little restless waiting in the garage.

Some users have reported problems with the automatic patch download through Games For Windows LIVE. If you require a manual patch, here are some quick instructions for download and installation below.
- Download the patch file below. Please ensure that you download and install only the appropriate files for the region of your version of the game as listed below.
- Extract the "Content" directory from the downloaded CAB file. This contains all the files required for the patch.
- Open the "Content" directory and run the executable "rfg_updater.exe" in order to install the patch. Please read the instructions and note that Raptr is an optional install.
- Allow the patch to finish installing.
- Windows Vista/7 - Go to Start >> Programs >> Games >> Games Explorer, and hover your mouse over the RFG icon. It should now state that you're running version "1.0.1.0" in the text that appears.
- Windows XP - Right click "rfg.exe", click "Properties", then the "Version" tab. Look for 1.0.1.0 if installed.
We hope all of you continue to enjoy Red Faction Guerrilla on PC.

With the holiday season in full swing, only two words come to mind: Free Stuff!
The team behind Red Faction Guerrilla wants to ensure that everyone has a joyful holiday, and we’re going to push the limits. Do you fall into any of the following categories?
- Achievement/Trophy Hunter
- Leaderboard Aficionado
- Demolitions Expert
- Unexplained affinity for Sledgehammers or Ostriches
If so, then this event is for you. Instead of the usual double or less frequent triple XP that most games run, we’re launching our “Get Your Ass Back to Mars” Event with a bang by giving all players on 360 and PS3 five full days worth of quintuple XP. You read that correctly, 5x XP for 5 entire days across every mode from Anarchy to Siege.
For the Achievement/Trophy Hunter in all of you, it’s now easier than ever to earn 50 points or get that Gold trophy for 100,000 XP. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can push on a little farther and obtain 120,000 XP in order to obtain the legendary Ostrich Hammer. If you’ve never played Red Faction Guerrilla’s multiplayer yet, this is your chance. A new account under quintuple XP settings will earn approximately 10 unlocks after just a single game!
But that’s not all! Starting this week - and throughout the event - on our official Twitter account (@RedFaction), we’re giving away some free DLC codes for each console. Follow along to receive updates for when the individual codes will be posted to our account and have a chance to grab them before anyone else. Each of our 3 packages will be given away to a handful of lucky fans.
The “Get Your Ass Back to Mars” event runs from Thursday, December 17th (starting around Noon PST) until end of day on Monday, December 21st.
